The Lost Reindeer

BAM! CRASH! There was some commotion going on outside, and to my surprise I saw a reindeer!

I rubbed my eyes but it was still there - so it wasn't an illusion. It was early so my parents weren't awake. I quickly ran to my backyard wondering if it was one of Santa's.After all, it was Christmas morning.

The reindeer was labeled, "Cupid, the most daydreaming reindeer."  "I can see why it got disconnected from Santa's sleigh", I thought. I called Santa at 858-GOT-PRESENTS. He said," Yes, Cupid was daydreaming in chocolate heaven and started chewing his rope but there was nothing we could do because the reindeer were headed in full pursuit of the North Pole." . He was still daydreaming about chocolate heaven because now he was chewing our plants with his mouth wide open.

"Okay Cupid, enough daydreaming."I said, - but he kept on chewing!.  " ENOUGH OF THAT! " I yelled at the top of my voice. That got him started. He jolted up straight and started galloping around crazily. " STOP! " I yelled but he kept on running around.

I finally got him to calm down by giving him gingerbread cookies. Then I tied him to my sled and also tied myself to the sled. " Okay Cupid, I said, let's get this thing going." He reared up, but didn't go forward, but appeared to be driving a race car in reverse so his fans could admire him and take photos." SNAP OUT OF IT!" I screamed.

At that moment my parents walked out. I quickly dived behind my dad's largest flower pot. It was as big as me and the reindeer but I had to clamp my hand over Cupid's mouth to not let him give us away by making some kind of noise. " Must be our imagination. " they said together and lumbered back to their beds.  That was a close call, I thought.

I then called Santa at 858- GOT PRESENTS. I asked him, " How do you get this guy to fly? " He said, " You need to get him to concentrate - tell him how long it will take to get there, and finally, give him a high starting point. " So I got a stool and dragged him up to the top of the brick wall in our house. Then I said, " Off we go, Cupid! "

He finally started to concentrate and I told him it would take four hours to get to the North Pole, he jumped up and started soaring through the air. A couple hours later we ran into some fog. Luckily, my flashlight was safely tucked into my pocket so I got it out and started directing Cupid so we could get through the fog safely.

A couple hours later we reached Santa's place. Mrs. Claus baked me some delicious cookies and I ate them gratefully. Then, as a reward for saving Cupid, I got a Pokemon booster box. I was so excited! Santa gave me a ride home.

I hope I can go on another adventure like this one and if I do  I will tell you about it.
